We’re happy to announce that three of our core team members just passed the Florida State Water Well Contractor’s License Test. This is a mandatory, state-wide credential that’s required to drill, repair, modify, or decommission water wells.

This test is extensive, administered by the Water Management District under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. It ensures contractors are qualified, knowledgeable about regulations, and able to manage, supervise, and perform well-related work.
Big congratulations to Gary Dicks, Cody Barrs, and Jason Land!
How the Florida State Water Well Contractor’s License Test Works
In order to pass this test, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have at least two years of relevant experience, and complete a comprehensive examination with a score of 70% of above.
Once the test is passed, the license is valid throughout all five water management districts in Florida. This means we can install, repair, and modify wells, pumps, tanks, and associated equipment.
The license must be renewed biannually, requiring at least 12 hours of approved continuing education.
Note: it’s illegal to operate without this license! Please ensure your well is drilled and maintained by a qualified professional who complies with all regulations to prevent groundwater contamination.
